Lenape Valley Regional High School is pleased to invite 8th Grade students attending Stanhope, Netcong, and Byram middle schools to participate in Lenape Valley Regional High School’s 8th Grade Learning Experience. The 8th Grade Learning Experience offers 8th Graders from our three sending districts the opportunity to attend a course during period 1 (7:20a.m. – 8:03a.m.) at Lenape Valley Regional High School. Currently students may choose from Band, French 1, or German 1 to join the high school students for a daily lesson before reporting to their middle school. This is an outstanding opportunity for your child to experience advanced coursework that will broaden their educational opportunities as a high school student while also having fun, making friends, and becoming comfortable with their future high school.
Courses completed through the 8th Grade Learning Experience will be recorded on the student’s Lenape Valley Regional High School transcript and are a part of their permanent academic record. All district policy and procedures regarding add/drops are applicable and can be reviewed in the Lenape Valley Program of Studies and Student Handbook, located at www.lvhs.org.
Students will attend their 8th Grade Learning Experience course according to Lenape Valley’s calendar. Transportation will be provided for your child by Lenape Valley Regional High School. During the school year, your child will be picked up at their assigned bus stop at the time indicated in the Parent Portal. If Lenape Valley’s school year begins before that of their home district, your child will be transported back to their bus stop until their middle school is in session. Parents also have the option of picking up their child from Lenape Valley Regional High School at 8:03 am until bus services begin to the home districts. Once their middle school is in session, Lenape Valley will transport students directly to their middle school each day at the conclusion of their period 1 course at Lenape Valley.
